'Modern Heart' is Animal or Vegetable's third studio album. Jason Lambeth (also of El-Tin Fun, Liquid Fossils, and The Hex) lives in Madison, Wisconsin; and Bobby Lee (also of Self-Effacing Theories, Baleen Whale, Vu Ray Robers, and Supercave) lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They record music and email it back and forth, until they have something like a polished project. This record covers quite a bit of musical territory, including rock, pop, electronica, jazz, and classical styles.
