Rogers Park is latest release from GOOEY, a rock and roll, power pop quintet out of Chicago. The album chronicles the tumultuous closing of a personal chapter in the life of lead singer and songwriter, Juan Carlos Avila. The making of Rogers Park was a deeply cathartic experience for Avila. The band pulled in elements of 70’s Bowie glam and 80’s college radio to create Rogers Park. The album is also GOOEY’s first collaboration with producer Robby Haynes who helped capture an old school rock and roll gem in the studio.
