My name is BEFORE THEY WERE STARS, Also known as Maurice Anthony Jones. I am a singer/songwriter Acoustic guitarist. I am a native Sunnyvale Californian but call my home Cedar Rapids Iowa. I write, record, mix and produce my own music out of my own home studio. My goal is simple. To play the songs that I write, and to play songs that I grew up listening to that has shaped me to become the musician that I am today for anyone who chooses to listen and take a ride through this musical story of mine. Draw emotion and create mood through my musical ability. The Meaning of my stage name is simple. Never Forget where you came from and never forget the people and experiences that brought you to where you are today.
