These songs are a small window to everything that is BUZ. There is genuine emotion/feeling/and thought in the way he plays and sings.. These songs were recorded in one afternoon,, all done in one or two takes with 35 years performing it doesn't take long for Buz to get it right. There is nothing fancy here just real music from a one of a kind individual that can open your mind ,,,,if you let him. Yes they may tell the story of life and all it brings us but in a way you could never have imagined. I met Buz in 1983 at a songwriter contest in lafayette louisiana. I loved his music from the first time I heard it. The winner that night got 50 dollars....Buz won. After that we got together and I played bass to his music for many yearsWe played wherever we could ..songwriter nights biker bars different clubs in town to us it was always about the music.At one time we had a female singer and formed a trio for a year or so. His songs today are just as fresh as they were then and will still be new years from now,they are timeless.Now with this CD we have captured that connection in music and made it something for everyone.In 20 years of playing music,,,,,to me this is as real as it gets,Ronnie Richardson RERPublishing
