Milwaukee’s The Buskers are an Alt Power Pop trio who are arguably one of the best new bands in the Midwest. Their songs establish a stranglehold on the ears, keying in on hooks and melody lines that stick in the head. They can also segue into a power-pop mode and produce catchy, radio-friendly tunes. One of their strongest cuts is “Honey Bee Rose,” which features an ear-pleasing yet gritty performance from lead vocalist Ricky Ganiere, who croons around a gorgeous chord progression that circles an infectious riff.
