Mind Departure is a four-member alternative rock band from Athens, formed in 2011 by Chris Tsekourloukis (Guitar), Christian Bacoyiannis (Bass), Dimitris Makris (Vocals) and Nikos Pavlou (Drums). In 2015 Vangelis Farantatos takes over drumming duties.In November 2015 they released their debut album “ROOTS” on Phonographic Society, produced by Nikos Pavlou. Previously, they had independently released a 5 track EP called “Mind Departure”.They have performed live in many stages and their music has received some great reviews from many well-respected musicians and producers in the industry.Their sound is an interesting blend of rhythmic and ambient delays, with powerful rhythm & bass sections and melodic vocals with strong dynamics. Their lyrics describe emotions evoked by personal experiences and social issues.
