If not now, when? Why put off what you love doing? Why not take risks and go out there and really live? Take that road trip and create new experiences and relationships. Go out in your back yard and rediscover the wonder of stargazing and falling in love all over again. Time is not your friend. It is as relentless as the never-ending surf that keeps eroding and wearing the shoreline away. We have the illusion that there is ‘all the time in the world,’ but it’s time to step on the gas and get moving before it all just quietly slips away.Relationships are at the heart of nearly every song I write. My music comes from a real place of personal joy, heartache, hope, and connections. Vulnerability is at its core. I hope that when you listen to my songs, you are getting to know me a little better and perhaps seeing the urgency to get living…because if not now, when? All songs are original and by Cheryl FletcherAll songs, with the exception of the Bonus Track: “The Devil Laughs,” were recorded, mixed and mastered by the musical genius, Michael Kelsey, at Kelsey’s Playground in Broad Ripple, Indiana. Michael layers the perfect instrumentation in order to integrate music and specific sounds to the meaning of the lyrics. To say that I am thrilled with what he has created would be the biggest understatement. All instruments on this album are by Michael Kelsey (except for “The Devil Laughs” and the piano on “The Darkened Surf” by Amanda Fletcher.) Lead vocals: Cheryl Fletcher. Additional vocals: Lee Anna Atwell and Amanda FletcherBonus Track: “The Devil Laughs” features Jason Wells on slide guitar and bass. All vocals on this track: Cheryl FletcherThank you to both Lee Anna Atwell and Amanda Fletcher for being a part of this project. You both continually amaze me by your willingness to share your vocal and musical gifts with me. Special thanks to my dear friend, Joe Peters, for making this project happen. From my very first chord you taught me to play on guitar, to this very EP release, you have been steadfast in your encouragement. You believed in my music even before I did. Sometimes it takes someone else to push us out of our comfort zones and out into the limelight, especially when there is a bit of kicking and squirming involved. I dedicate this EP to you, Joe, with gratitude and friendship.
