"Monster Mind" is not only more melodic and dramatic than Grey Monday's first album"XIII sharp", but also more personal. The lyrics express the songwriter's concern about the world being overburdened by humans who are driven by their excessive minds rather than their hearts. Our uncontested Monster Minds do not only crave to exploit all the secrets of our home planet, but also complicate our emotions to a level at which they become twisted and unspeakable. At some point, a battle of mind against soul is fought in every one of us. Powerful Rock music strengthens the heart and soul to overcome the corrupted mind. It delivers the energy we need to savor the good days, and get through the hard ones. Therefore, some lyrics are also on the lighter side - Monster Mind is not a strict concept album.
