The Bindlestiffs were a Kansas City-based band together from 1990 through the mid 90's. The band influenced the blossoming roots-rock scene of the era soon dubbed"alternative country". The band featured Mike Niewald (guitar, vocals), Cory Corbino (bass),"Wiley" Brian Clark (drums), and Jim Holopter (guitar). Many of the songs on this career retrospective were produced by Lou Whitney of Skeletons/Morells fame in Springfield, Missouri. Whitney engineered five other songs on this compilation, which were produced by legendary engineer/producer, Bill Halverson. Halverson, most notably produced the famous Neil Young"Ohio" session, as well as engineered the first Crosby, Stills and Nash record, CSNY's"Deja Vu", Cream's"Wheels of Fire" and many others.
