Vermont songwriter Dan Johnson released a new studio recording on May 15, 2014. His third album features twelve original songs recorded at his home in Jericho, VT. This album represents a departure from strictly live instrumentation and features drum machines, amp modeling and MIDI instruments to support his acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin. While the instrumental support has taken some new turns, the songwriting remains rooted in story-telling and first person narration with strong poetic imagery. “I feel grateful for the quiet of the country where I was able to focus on writing. This album is all about writing and driving, and getting into that quiet space of mind, like memory and reminiscence,” says Johnson.
