I believe that being an artist, of any kind, is one of the hardest professions one can aspire to pursue. Creating art is a representation of who you are as a person, what you have been through, and how it has changed you. As a singer I have dabbled in almost all different genres of music. While studying classical voice, I was told,"the voice is different than the person." People may judge your voice, but to a certain extent you cannot control it. It is very easy to take people's judgements of your voice, and allow them too dishearten you, but I have decided it is time to set these judgements aside and release my debut album, The Biography of Me. This album has been a momentous achievement for me because there is nothing on this album I can hide behind. It’s all me. The vocals, the words, the emotion. I cannot blame anyone else for any “flaws” the public may identify. It is all my fault. I had the final decision, and that is why this is such a momentous moment because I have decided while not everything on this album may be “perfect”, it is my beginning and everyone must start somewhere. I want people to be able to share my beginning with me, which contains some of the deepest and happiest moments of my life with me. I'm so grateful for all the support and the help people have given me in my endeavor to create something that represents not only myself, but all the people that have been in my life. To the heartbreaks that allowed me to write melancholy ballads, the short flings with cute boys that inspired"cheesy love songs", the ups and downs, and life lessons I have tried to capture in my music. I hope you enjoy my music, but I also hope it inspires you to live your own life the best you can, realizing life isn't always easy, but I have made it through and so will you.
