This album is made up of new original songs and pieces recorded during 2008 - 2009 in our home in West Lothian, Scotland. The exception is “Rainy Friday” a remixed version of a track recorded and produced by Martin Freitag in Germany in 2005. “Rainbow fusion” was recorded here at home but by John Farrell ably aided by Fraser Drummond, it was also mixed by John. The tracks “Hidden Soul” and “Do what thou wilt” are remixes based around tracks previously released in 2005/2006. The music for the track “Garden of music” was written by Martin Freitag, the lyrics by Alison G. All other songs are Barclay/Graham.The tracks “Air kisses” and “Pools” have appeared elsewhere credited to “Jules & Verne” and “the Delorean Sisters” respectively - it’s all just us.All tracks were remixed and mastered using WavePad/Zoom desks with additions from Yamaha and Cubase systems. Final mixing was done on WavePad by Roughboys, April - June 2009.Cover and concept: invisible graphics.Summer memories in winterThe most commonly played card in the packPlaced face downWorn at the edgesAnd roundConstructing the end of the gameCelebrate the way we cameTo be here in this adopted strangenessAlways unaware of the rushThe breeze that blew the yearsWas just exhaled breathAnd I sip and suckOn past times and curse what passed for luckI took no time to even mentionThe tired and unjust predestinationThat colours all their chaotic thoughtsAnd bought us nothingSo we salute the rainAnd the intermittent stimuliThat feeds a waking needEvermore invisibleSome tunes and fragmentsAs we goAs our forces splinterSome summer memories in winter. Dr Kaye Debenham “Intermittent stimuli and the wounded believers” by J&V 1959. Taken from the introduction to the unpublished thesis “Watching from the edge - the observation of life, sporting events and the meaning of the inner workings of the nuclear family in 1950's Britain”.
