What began as a keyboard-based approach on Wing and a Prayer, ended up being lavished upon by what the electric guitar had to offer. But that was completely okay with me, as I'm sure will be the case with the listeners. Giving the electric guitar a little more fore-front than some may expect from a piano-based artist, you will find that I was happy to encourage this on Wing and a Prayer. Why? Mainly because of my fascination and appreciation for the instrument. I wanted to see where some additional rock influence would take me. I did not play electric guitar myself, instead I let someone way more affluent at the instrument play to the songs that I had already written...mostly from a keyboard-driven approach. Although a keyboardist, I can't help but be inspired by the beckoning call of the electric guitar and all it has to offer the music I have been inspired to write...write from an entirely different choice of instrument....the piano. Once exception. In order to try a different perspective once, I did write and record one of the album's songs"Strong Winds" using an acoustic guitar. Other than that, the piano continues to be the beginning of my musical focus, so much so in fact that most of my albums have been instrumental music with the main focus being piano. So this being my first vocal album to hit the digital world, I present to you a wider spectrum of my musical expressions and appreciations. Wing and a Prayer.
