"Living Legacy" starts with the track" So Long" which could also have been called,"I'm Not Gonna Say Goodbye." It really hits home quickly about life; our life, this life, and the afterlife, with loved ones all around us.Next is"Gimme The Weekend (Daze of the Weak)" a fun upbeat song about working and living for the weekend! How we seem to be"dazed" during the early part of the week (we get weak!), but then we are rewarded with the weekend! Thanks to Emma Rose for the backround vocals....Next is"Jocassee" which, like"So Long" was written through me. This song is based on the Legend Of Jocassee, a Cherokee Indian Maiden Princess, and her lover. Jarrod Valenti does an amazing job on the Indian Flute. The guttural sounds of the kettle drum and the tingle of the tambourine sends chills, and that's my daughter Emma, with her Angelic Voice on those backround vocals."Shades Of Gray" captures moments in time. Taking the listener right to the scene. It's about love, loving, lovers, never losing that zeal, that appeal, that desire that remains forever young in all of us. The Bridge ties it all back together, inside and outside join together for a perfect harmonious encounter, no matter how many shades of gray we have.....Emma Rose again on the Angelic Backround vocals.Next up is" The Gator Man Of The Lowcountry" this song was written for and about my friend of 30 + years, Local Legend Joe Maffo! Joe is the real deal, he wrangles Gators, and is an amazing man, it's a privilege to call Joe my friend! Hope you enjoy Joe's Theme Song! The CD Title Song is next"Living Legacy" This song was written for my Father, Neal E. Carroll, who was a Marine Officer 2nd Lt in WWII, who survived Iwo Jima. Also written for all Fathers, who can bequeath their Living Legacy upon this earth!"Make The World A Better Place" will hopefully be the song to change the world! Why not? Has to come from somewhere. Conversational song asking for your participation in making the world a better place. Future generations are depending on us..."Gwendolyne" takes you to the Scottish Moors, with the fog rolling in over the boggy creeks....here you find yourself in a love story, with a prince on a valiant steed, finally finding his princess...rescuing her from the castle walls, Jarrod does amazing work on the sax."Sweat Tea" is a love song in the stylings of Bread, laid back, summertime ditty, sipping a cool glass with ice with that condensation dripping, with a warm summer breeze dancing on the droplets that fall on your chest....Last but not least..."Why Don't We All Get Naked" a totally G rated song about the obvious answer to all questions great and small...A fun way to finish the"Living Legacy" CD, the only track on the CD where I am backed by a full band!Thank You and Enjoy!
