My second album, recorded and released in 2008, has five pieces that feature Nicole Ferguson on flute and is lovingly dedicated to the memory of my mother Polly (1930-2007). She was a wonderful gardener with a well-cultivated perennial garden who passed away in the fall of 2007 to join the Lord in his glorious Garden. I felt my loss so keenly through the winter, but when spring came and her garden bloomed, it brought me great comfort. I was in the final throes of spit-polishing and packing my paintings for the show, and your incredibly beautiful recording soothed me right up to the final wrapping in paper and loading them into my portfolio. It’s such a beautiful CD – your skillful handling of each piece is incredible.
