Jack is releasing a solo acoustic album ‘A Murder of Crows’ in April 2016, featuring songs written over the last couple of years.His songs weave often dark tales based his own personal experiences or those of close friends, inspired bythe places he has lived and the events associated with each of those places.Jack released his first album ‘This Fiery Road’ in 2011 with a bunch of friends and session musicians before forming the fullgigging band that you’ll see performing. The second full band album ‘Lord of the empty Manor’, produced by Bobby Bloomfield form ‘Does it Offend You, Yeah?’, was released in 2014.Having played guitar in bands and written songs for others, over many years, Jack found his voice in 2005, quite by accident,having rediscovered Johnny Cash, when he heard ‘Man Comes Around’, being played between acts at the WOMAD Festival.Hearing that voice took him back to childhood days in his grandparents kitchen on a Sunday aIernoon when the radio would be pouring out old country tunes. That was instrumental in him taking his first foray into singing live, and having done it once and got away with it there was no going back.Playing wherever he could Jack has developed his own brand of Americana, Country and Folk with a rough and none to culturededge, as he oIen says “I’ve always thought of myself not as a singer but someone who talks with style, and I write and playsimple songs because that’s the way they come out”
