Described by Folk London magazine as"elegant and skilled musicians", na-mara is a Hertfordshire-based duo comprising Rob Garcia and Paul McNamara. They perform frequently in folk and other clubs and festivals across the UK and have recently appeared in France (with Malicorne) and Spain (with Ewan McLennan). They have also been heard on BBC Radio 4 and a host of local radio stations. They perform traditional songs and music from across the British Isles along with their own songs and tunes, traditional songs from France and Quebec which they translate into English, and a wide variety of tunes from Asturias, Galicia, Brittany and northern France. They are regularly commended for their storytelling. Paul was described by Folk World magazine as"an ingenious songwriter in the traditional vein” and their 2010 album 'The Bite', received critical acclaim from a wide range of reviewers.
