I grew up in the 1960's and 1970's when music was going through many changes. Styles and genres were changing constantly; but somehow, the past also was still embraced. I find my compositions highly influenced by the purely instrumental recordings during the 1960's and 1970's. These were the songs that could transport you to a different place and time....just by the way they sounded. The harmonies, instruments and rhythms were intricate and beautiful.....no lyrics were needed.I hope you can be taken to a"special place" when you listen to my music. This song"Butterfly People" was inspired by stories told by survivors of the Joplin Tornado tragedy. People reported being saved by"Butterfly People" sweeping down from the heavens during the storm........ ANGELS ?????
