Abstraction is a power-progressive metal band from Bulgaria, formed in 2009 by Mladen Medarov - vocals, Antonio Velkov - drums/vocals, Danail Karjilov - guitars, Ivaylo Rashev - bass/vocals and Pavel Serafimov - keys/guitars. In May 2013 the single"Wolf" was released and in the beginning of 2014 the debut album"End of Hope" landed. The album was very well received and reviewed in a number of European and US websites and it was also presented at some specialised metal radio shows in USA, Italy and Bulgaria. At the end of 2015 Abstraction began working on new material. The recording was done by the end of 2016 and the result was the new EP"Nightmare" which includes three tracks, full with the band's well known neo - classical influences, solid male choirs and irregular rhythmic schemes. After the recordings Pavel Serafimov leaves the band.
