Universe is a CD using my Studiologic Mp-117 for bass drones and improvising over some scales in my Akai MPD 26. Most of the scales are from what I have gathered from the Hang Drum or Pantheon Steel Halo, also a few of my own custom. The Akai MPD 26 is a beautiful USB/MIDI controller in that you can lay out any 8, 12, or 16 note scale like on any Hang type instrument for a fraction of the cost and I just wanted to showcase this fine tool as I did with my Night Skies CD. This is the first of hopefully at least 3 solo type cd’s I want to do in the style of Hang Drum Relaxation/Meditative music not necessarily with the Akai but with the Wooden Tongue Drum, Zen Tambour Milltone, and Artbell Steel Tongue Drums.
