Sub Conscious is the stage name used by the musician/producer and Dj Marco Marcus from the crew and artist collective Ninja Nation, originally founded in El Paso, Texas. Now based out of Northern California, he produces a wide range of music, blending the dark and dirty rhythms of Drum n Bass with the transcendent sounds of World Music and Jazz. His studio albums are composed mostly on analogue equipment and live instruments. His live performances, showcasing a diverse catalogue of original music mixed with Drum n Bass, Hip-Hop, Industrial and Jazz, implement tribal and psychedelic styles. He spins vinyl, blending the light and the dark to cultivate a sound that is both dynamic and energetic. Engaging the audience to reach a higher level, he synthesizes cultured music with upbeat and inventive dance.
