Tracks #1-3 are done with my old band 'Haywyre' and are pretty straight forward Pop Rock. Local new reviews were favorable & we placed some tracks on the local 'Top 40' in the hey-day of the first mp3 website. Haywyre featured my good friends Neal Harth on Rhythm Guitar, Mike Harth on bass, Greg Haynes on Keyboards and Jeff Boseman on Drums.Tracks #4-8 are Rock infused with Progressive sounds that harken back to the hey-day of good things and feature my good friends Steve Wade on Bass and Beau Hooker on Drums. Culled from the CD"I Am", local news reviews were favorable and my favorite line was,"Hopkins delivers a set strongly influenced by seventies progressive rock, including a voice that is strongly reminiscent of Ian Anderson". Once again, I placed some tracks on the local 'Top 40' on mp3. Track #4 includes Greg Haynes on Keyboards while Track #6 feature Steve Wade on the"fast lead guitar. Also Karen Faust sang backing vocals on Track #7. Track 9 is more progressive music done totally solo from the CD"the Dog (8 Pieces Of My Brain". Tracks #10-12 are instrumentals composed on the ACID program and have strong oriental/world jazz leanings. These were done under an alias, 'Wang Chin Ho' & received a few praises from around the world. Tracks #13-16 are acoustic renditions of lovers in love from the CD Blue Skies & Butterflies". Track #14 also includes Steve Wade on Bass and Beau Hooker on Drums. Track #16 has Jimmy Carroll on Bass. Track #17 is from the same CD and features Joe Yates on harmonica, Jimmy Carroll on Bass & Beau Hooker on Drums. This was written for a friend retiring from the Post Office and is straight forward old style Rock and Blues. Track #18 is from the Artist Asylum CD"Ain't Very Pretty" and is very Progressive Rock influenced featuring Beau Hooker on Drums. And lastly, once again from the CD"I Am", the 15 minute opus"Talk with You" is very Tullish and features Steve Wade on Bass and Beau Hooker on Drums. This is my best so it's hard to choose a few tracks to recommend. My advice is to give it all a listen. Peace & Love....
