This set of 14 original pieces, composed and performed by Cory Hawthorne, sets the beautifully haunting and lush ambient sonic backdrop to Charm Games' incredible Virtual Reality experience,"FORM", which was released on June 1st, 2017.Cory Hawthorne is a composer, singer, guitarist, and sound designer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a veteran of the games industry, and has been the lead sound effects designer or Audio Director on games such as Prototype, Simpsons Hit and Run, Crash Bandicoot, CSI, and many others over the course of his nearly 20 years in the industry before joining Charm Games as the Audio Director in 2016. Also a veteran musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist, he released his debut solo album"The King of the Broken Hearts" in February of 2012.As the Audio Director for Charm Games'"FORM", his goal was to create music and sound design that worked as a close companion to the stunningly beautiful abstract art and environments within the world of FORM. Using mainly software synthesizers and samplers, skillfully mixed with other elements such as strings, guitars, the human voice and real world sounds such as machinery to create the music, the result is something that is enjoyable on its own, but also sets itself perfectly within the world of FORM, which explores the mysteries of human consciousness through a series of abstract puzzles and unique environments.Charm Games is a leading developer of virtual reality experiences.
