In 2003 founding members Jonathan Ware and Glenford Brown found poetry, ending a long search for a tool express their thoughts and ideas. In celebration they organized their first show, New Growth, showcasing just that. This experience sent Jonathan and Glenford on another search to find individuals who shared their passion. In the August of 2005 Impromptu was formed with a full roster of members: Jargon, Selah, Glenford, Meaghan, Charmaine and Dejum. Since this time Impromptu has continued to perform in numerous venues in the tri-state area, honing their craft.
