On the eve of his 30th birthday, DC-based singer/songwriter Collin Warren returned to his longtime home of Portland, OR, to make a live-concert recording. The resulting album, Jesus Is My Dentist: Live in Portland, marks the singer/songwriter's first major release. Recorded in one shot, in front of an intimate audience at Mississippi Pizza's Atlantis Lounge, the album features a collection of unreleased songs written over the last 10 years.Songs, such as the title track and"Morrison," harken back to Collin’s days as a humbler (somewhat darker) Portland twenty-something-- while “Mellotron” and “Walking In Chicago” recount his move to Chicago and his first experiences as an audio engineer in the city’s bustling music scene.
