Songwriters Richard Duke and Brandon Whightsel met in 2008 in hole in the wall cafe in central Brooklyn. After quickly realizing they grew up minded by the same sounds, they set to a collaboration. The result is Gone, an intimate album, centered in their past as solo musicians, but looking squarely at the future as one force. It is a story tellers album, a Sunday morning album, and like a griot's notes or a jester's joke, there's nothing to do but listen.
