Tainted Cantaloupes started out at the end of Jon Baker's elusive and controversial solo career. Fin Aquarian joined forces with Jon Baker as lead vocalist and lyricist in 2008, and they recorded the tracks for The Parasite Procedure together in The College of Idaho recording studio. The first few tracks recorded like"These Shadows Pull Me Down" and"Dedicated to You" and"Possessed Again" feature the lightweight punk feel of Jon Baker Rock, but soon the two found their own style. They were joined in the studio by Bert Martin, a music minor and lead guitarist, and Fin wanted to start blending techno into the mix. This resulted in the songs"Random Hookup" and"So Long Perfection.""So Long Rejection was made by slowing down the techno music for"So Long Perfection."Towards the end of the recording sessions,"Checking for Blood" was released, foreshadowing the sound to come in the second album.Check them out on Facebook: www.facebook.com/taintedcantaloupesOr the Web: www.taintedcantaloupes.comOr YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TCantaloupesOr SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/taintedcantaloupesOr ReverbNation: https://www.reverbnation.com/taintedcantaloupes
