From the cacophonous start of"Write a Song" it's clear that this is not going to be your average blues album. Still, it's contagious in a demented kind of way, and the sloppiness, intentional crudeness and semi-coherence are punk rock to the core (the furious, psychobilly track"Rachel"). Not recommended as a place to start with Spencer, and definitely not recommended to those who think they're going to hear Muddy Waters songs.
