Italians Armonight were born in 2007 from the idea of guitarist Lara to find a band to play her friend Fjord’s compositions, soon they were joined by seductive singer Sy to recorded their first full-length, ‘Suffering and Passion’, released in November 2010 to rave reviews from around the world. They have a universally attractive style that holds an original place between symphonic/gothic metal and melodic/gothic rock, mixing shimmering and crunchy guitars, appealing to a broad spectrum of fans. Sy has a unique slightly folk tinged voice that suits their music perfectly, powerful, strong or soft according to the mood of the song. There is a beautiful blend of songs in this superbly constructed set, catchy driving rockers, dramatic dynamic numbers with a darker edge and powerful swaying ballads.
