I feel as if I have an original style although it originated by studying so many of the greats , ultimately I believe they taught me to crave my own self worth more than anything. I try to just relax and be myself on a track let it speak to me before i talk back...I do not put myself in a creative box when i make music , for example I do not grab my pen and paper and say this song is going to be about tragedy , this one about sex , etc.. It happens all kinds of ways any where from catching a quick feeling on the bus stop jotting it ( song idea ) down on whatever you can find ,to at work singing into your I phone so you will not forget the material ,but my favorite and most relaxing way is turning on a track letting it speak to me before i speak back.....I enjoy it all but its like wanting steak settling for a burger ,or like wanting pizza settling for a sandwich , you can make it happen but that satisfactory feeling has to be there. I love the west coast but i also like to hear east coast cats on west coast tracks.
