Somewhat like what David did in the Bible, documenting both his triumphs and struggles through song, Belle Carmen's debut album feels almost as if we're reading from the pages of her diary or perhaps someone else's diary because the lyrics are raw, emotional and very genuine. The fifteen tracks on this album not only contain singing but also narration, spoken word, improvisation and when words are not enough, her instrumental compositions handle the rest.
