If the situation calls for it He can performwhile wearing period clothing of the 19th century.Wayne's journey into music began in 1974 at the age of 13. He started learning guitar hoping to play in a rock band but as he got older he drifted towards Bluegrass. In 1984 Wayne attended a meeting of the Oklahoma City Traditional Music Association and was introduced to the wonders of traditional old time and Celtic music. He loved it so much that he even served a term as president of the OCTMA for a year in 1986-87.In 1986 Wayne, along with a friend, formed"The Prairie Land String Band" which became one of Oklahoma's leading old time string bands. While performing with Prairie Land Wayne was able to greatly expand his knowledge and repertoire of traditional old time and Celtic music.From 2002 to 2004 Wayne performed with the Irish band Calliope House playing fiddle, tenor banjo, mandolin and guitar.
