Just a time in my life where I really wanted to write about Jesus and it all happened mostly within a few months. Just kept writing and writing and recorded this live album at our church in Barrie, Ontario at the time. The first track Jesus took my burden is an old hymn that my grandmother sang when she gave her heart to Jesus at a young age. That's where the title track came from Left with a Song. It's the last 4 words of the hymn and it inspired me to write about it. Little Girl and Boy was written out of the thought that we all need to stay like children. Children get it, they are free, they process things better. The song Every One is from Psalm 103 that he heals all our diseases every one of them. Not always in our timing, but He does. Teach Me, is the only song on the album that I wrote when I was 17 years old, was special to me of how God was teaching me about worship. Lead Me Forever is from one of my favourite Psalms. Psalm 139. I think my music is just really music from the heart; personal, intimate and scriptural.
