"The sweet quality of her voice means you won't smash your phone or car stereo when she sings"Ram Sam Sam" for the umpteenth time."Michal Karmi, known to the world as Peanut, is a trilingual children’s musician and YouTube sensation (…and poet, photographer, chef, environmentalist, lindy hopper, academic, world traveler!). She genuinely loves children, something that clearly shines through her voice and demeanor around people big and small.Peanut resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she keeps busy with all things related to children’s educational entertainment. From the far-reaching ears of her global listeners to people who have experienced her first hand, come testimonials of the magic of her uplifting energy:"...though they've heard it so many times before, it was amazing to see how rapt they were-- listening so intently, engaging, and singing along! Made so, so happy by your music and entertaining.""... It's really one of the best CD's I've ever bought. We listened to it today too! Really wonderful music. I teach at an elementary school and know my kids will enjoy the tunes as well. Thanks again, and hope to see you at the market soon.""Ramona has been mesmerized by your CD... She will sit still for 20-30 minutes just listening intently. I love it.""My 22-month old was so taken with you and your music that we bought a CD (which now gets played at least once a day after he merrily shouts"Listen Peanut!”)..."Peanut was born in Israel and grew up between Israel and California. She graduated in May 2012 with a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley. But Peanut is such a natural with children, that her birthday party business and YouTube channel grew naturally while pursuing her degree. She has an extensive background in childcare and has been entertaining children through song and dance for years. One album recorded at Pixar - Hugabaloo- later, with over 250,000 YouTube hits under her belt, Peanut decided the path that seemed to choose her was indeed too fortuitous to ignore. Peanut wishes to reach the hearts of children and adults alike, and is currently working on a TV show she created. To her, it's not about fame, or ego: it's about your children, and the children of their generation. It's about uplifting everyone's spirits through song and dance, about sparking that essence that makes us all smile and see the world in brighter colors.
