I've never really taken music seriously until I realized that I've written enough for it to maybe be taken seriously for it's own sake. I've been writing music almost as long as I can remember, made up a song when I was two years old. I played my first chords when I was four on a ukulele while learning to sing Drunken Sailor but put the guitar down out of boredom until I was thirteen. I made a homemade guitar when I was sixteen out of parts I made and fashioned and played it in a high school band with friends. I learned to use music as an escape because every time I had a problem I just picked up my guitar, played and what ever the problem was it just seemed to disappear for a while. I didn't really have a choice about music since it had become an addiction. Since then I went through some withdrawals over music but always in the back of my mind wondered what would happen if I published. Most of the material in this first CD is of earlier works that I've recently taken the time to polish a little. Some day maybe I'll have the common sense to record my music in a professional studio. I think I'll start devoting my efforts to writing songs that promote environmental awareness. Since the world is constantly in flux so am I in relation to the world and others in it.~Byron
