Here are a few comments on some of the songs I have written that have been well received on some radio stations, that are on this album... I call these songs, the dark dozen. But, there is always a positive message to be found in that choices can be made to make a difference in peoples lives. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and if you decide to download my music ,I sure thank you.I recorded all of these tracks live and I am playing all the acoustic instruments which are an old flattop guitar(with my vocals) an old upright Bass and my Harlow resonator guitar. I added some Banjo on Track number two. Track #8 and #12 are true factual songs from people I personally know."Danny Lee Allison has captured the essence and feel of Johnny Cash and his pain in his newly penned song"Our Final Ride". Reminds me of Johnny's last project and the sad feeling of a live lived and shortened by Father Time. I love true story songs, this one, about a trio of good friends - that have grown older together, shared in each others' lives, and will continue to the end of"their" ride here on earth. Sad, dark, but really says something as it plays out. Are the golden years, really golden? Or filled with dark despair for those who reach the end of their rides? Its up to the listener to decide for her/himself. I hope this tune pockets this writer a pocket full of gold, so his last regret can be assuaged, and so he can know that he did make a difference in other lives, as he has in mine. Great job, Danny Lee Allison" ...........Gracie Muldoon, Founder, WorldWideBluegrass.com"Just A Picture,Of An Old Memory"Well Mr DA you out done yourself this time. To bad The Possum isn't still around, you could send it to him( I even heard a twinge of him in your voice singing it) Wow.
