Parchment Farm was formed many years ago, but recently was reformed. The influences are many, but essentially the music revolves around standard rock roots, with important influences from Pink Floyd, John Lennon, the Beatles, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, ELP, and the Who. The songs are crafted to create a mood that enhances the meanings of the lyrics. The words for each song were the nuclei for each of the songs. Most of the songs have at least two levels of meaning (and occasionally more). So, Turkish Coffee is not nust about Turkish Coffee. Survival of the Fittest also has meanings at several levels.
