ACUD is embodied with the help of four musicians. ACUD uses their instruments to give sound to its essence: a trumpet, a baritone saxophone, a double bass and a drum set. For a long time ACUD followed the evolution of their musical language; intrigued by the choice of the line-up (a"pianoless" quartet from the tradition of the Gerry Mulligan/Chet Baker band), ACUD waited for the sound to mutate into something new and surprisingly modern. ACUD had never before heard songs written by Syd Barrett rearranged for jazz quartet with a flavour of swing ("Terrapin" and"Wined and dined"), or driven by latin energy ("Here I go"). The “hunger for rock and thirst for swing” increased when ACUD tasted the first notes of"Manic depression" by Jimi Hendrix. Thanks to the original compositions written by Tiziano Ruggeri, ACUD finally took the shape of the quartet that is now here. Among us. Are you ready to make the acquaintance with ACUD?
