DIGITAL SILENCE is a new electro-jazz CD featuring nine tracks that fuse elements of jazz, new-age, progressive, and electronic music. Electric fretted and fretless basses and keyboards are the dominant melodic voice, all created by multi-instrumentalist Erroll Zastre. Tracks include"The Journey" which opens with a progressive rock type feel before veering into latin-jazz, and ending up with some Weather Report type funk."Dark Light Part II" is film-noir music, evoking moods from the post-war period but with a modern electronic take."Pyrennes" is more symphonic in nature reflecting the majesty of the natural world."Digital Silence","Labyrinth", and especially"Slang City" travel further into electronic genres.
