This is another personal album from Harry, released in 2008. This album was funded by Essence of Life Hospice in Amana, IA. This is an instrumental album, the third of three releases for Harry in 2008. It is a very personal album because it is based on the title itself, God's Promise. Harry was writing music for yet another album during its creation and he needed a name for it and God gave him the title. When he was working for a coffee shop as a roaster/barista, he was also praying for investors to fund this album. He was looking through the classifieds online to supplement his family's income and came across an ad for a music therapist at a nursing home. He figured that he did not have much to lose, so he sent an e-mail to them and included the title cut to this album as a sample of some of his work. They replied back and asked who wrote that music because it was better than what they were currently using. They scheduled an interview with him and he showed up with his keyboard.As they were looking over his resume, album releases and awards, he said,"Instead of trying to wow you with all this stuff I've done before, let me just play for you.". They agreed and after a few minutes of his playing his keyboard for them, they started talking again and the subject of God's Promise came up and how he was trying to get it released. They left the room for a short time and returned. They offered him a full-time position at the nursing home as a musician. Not only that, but they also agreed to fund the album, and purchase 50 copies to put in their promo materials. It truly was God's provision and"God's Promise" that when you trust in Him, He provides.Each song on this album is personal for Harry as it chronicles the times of his life at that period. These songs are Harry growing in His faith in God. They are also a representation of his wife (My Love, My Life), and his children (Song for my Children). On the technical side, this album is largely live, recorded live into the sequencer on the Ensoniq VFX-SD synthesizer. The album was recorded at night after he put his youngest daughter, Kylie, to bed. His wife worked third shift during this time as well, so Harry was juggling being a father and musician at the same time. The piano sound came from a Roland Juno-D, as did one of the pad layers. The other pad layer was from the Ensoniq VFX-SD. It was recorded to the iKey MP3 recorder straight from the Mackie 1202 mixer. No edits were made to the recordings except for slight mastering to take out some noise.There are also no drums on this album. This is just basically piano/pad sound and Harry is once again playing from his heart. This album has received local and regional radio play as well and has garnered much interest from those who like this genre of music.
