Alexander's Dark Heart is an indie rock band of three from Jackson, Mississippi. Begun in late 2001, ADH has evolved to include the multi-instrumentalists Roy Geoghegan, Jim Henegan, and Walter Young. Combined with a keen interest in writing songs that are both approachable and experimental, live instrument swapping creates a dynamic experience for both the band and the audience. The band recently released a cd-single in support of their second full length album, The Aleph, which is due out January 2005.This album was recorded retreat-style by the band in the Mississippi countryside in the height of the summer of 2004. The twelve tracks here came about due to our collective love of music and love for playing. The album gets across the feel of our live shows but brings out elements lost in the act of playing live.
