“Dawg”, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and a graduate of West Jefferson High School, of New Orleans – Louisiana.Dawg was first exposed to music at a tender age, through step-father, acclaimed musician, Mr. Alton Rubin Jr. of “Rockin Dopsie” and “The Cajun Twisters” fame, a Zydec band from Lafayette, Louisiana.Growing up listening to various types of music and considers the likes of Stevie, Wonder, BB King, Hall and Oats, Neville Bros, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Clifton Chenier, Kiss, Prince, George Michael and Phil Collins his inspirations. His debut involvement in music was an ultimate hip-hop dance crew from Hawaii, “The Silent Assassins”; who was a one time champion on MTV’s reality show, The Cut.Now based in Singapore, this southern boy has gained immense experience as an artist and musician, and has perfected his art form. His dynamics of free-style technique and fluency in rap, hip hop and R&B promises to impress, as it did thousands of fans in Hawaii, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia. He has also performed alongside renowned US artist SCOLA of Dru Hill at the Hennessy Artistry Concert in Singapore. He was the first artist under the “Top Dawg” line of musicians run by the R&R Entertainment label.
