'Authentic' came about through the partnership of Ulrich Hänig and Tim Bragg. Tracks shared across the ether maintained their integrity and authenticity as the Anglo/German partnership created the album. The (near) title track: 'Be Authentic' has garnered a lot of praise and response and has already been covered by an established blues guitarist. Steve Walwyn (Dr.Feelgood) makes an appearance on the album, soloing on a track especially written for him. There are a few surprises too as the blues genre is explored and expanded. Lyrically the album explores some dark themes and at times lightens with humour. The lyrics certainly add an important ingredient to the album's whole ambiance and effect. There are some powerful moments.
