This is my 5th album on CD and I keep thinking it will be the last perhaps. My main focus is songwriting, but even that is questionable with my insistence on using a variety of styles and some experimenting with rhythmic variables in teh lyrics. What is the genre or style of my music? You tell me. Everyone gives it a different classification and no one agrees, especially if they have heard all 5 CD's. It is a combination of musical styles. Writing is a joy, but producing a CD is difficult for me in many ways because I and the recording engineer, final mix and mastering technician, as well and the artist. The amount of time and number of re-takes is ridiculous. A year and a half in the making and it is far from perfect. I have been battling Multiple Scleroses for 10 years now and it is my enemy in the studio. I can't tell you how messed up I get working the board while singing and playing; back and forth. Then, I struggle to stay in tune and on time.
