Recently featured in the March edition of Ignition Music Magazine, Gary Lee Wingard is gaining popularity as a solo acoustic artist in NE FLorida. After serving 38 years in the Army National Guard, as a full-time Tech and as a unit member, Gary is now doing what he loves best - performing and writing music. Best known for his smooth and impassioned sound, Gary performs cover songs and originals - soft rock, blues rock, pop rock and some country rock. Originally from Kent, Ohio he resides in St. Augustine, FL when not traveling around the country in his RV. While on tour recently, Gary performed at the historic Swampers Lounge at Muscle Shoals, AL and at the Song writers"Round" at Douglas Corners, Nashville, TN. Gary has been involved with music since age 13, performing with different venues over the years. He studied with David Kellogg of the Allman Brother's Band. Gary left music to pursue a military career but continued to perform with praise and worship teams. In 1995, he formed 3UP3Down, a military benefit band which performs at military events throughout NE Florida. Now retired, Gary is busy working on his first album as well as performing at local venues from Savannah, GA to Daytona Beach, FL.
