The Cross | Erie is a church that meets in a music venue in the midst of one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in the nation. The band was challenged to write their own music, but rather than write love songs to boyfriend Jesus, they have put their musical talents to updating the hymnal God wrote (the Psalms) as well as time tested historic hymns. This allows us to stay rooted in our scripture and tradition rather than emotion. Most of the band comes from different genres of music before playing worship at The Cross, a guitarist and bassist that play together in a punk band, a guitarist that plays as a solo acoustic act, a keyboardist in a hardcore band, a drummer that primarily plays metal, but they bring their talents together on Sunday mornings to glorify God.Bob Doerr: Guitar and vocalsJosh Travis: Guitar and vocalsDave Rudolph: DrumsNate Heinrich: KeyboardSteve Crane: Bass
