This is the sixth album from Seattle's Longboat since 2011. It's a blend of a wide variety of genres, from punk to jazz to electronica, folk, funk, vintage pop and indie/stadium rock. It's a concept album about music. And we've got songs about everything from dance crazes to blowing up our least favorite radio station - and all kinds of stuff in between. In fact, we've got so much to say about so many things that it takes two entire albums to get the rudiments of our point across. But facing 49 tracks can be a bit bewildering. Here's some help: if you like pop, try"Melodyne" or"The New Bounce and You" first; if indie rock is your thing, listen to"Get into Range" or"Hurt Feelings." Jazz fan? Well, there's"No One Listens to Jazz Anymore" and"Tawdry Gimmicks." For blues, there's"Rhymes with: Hey, She Wrecks Me" and"Blues You Can Use." That's just the beginning, we haven't touched on electronica, funk, plastic pop or punk, but those tracks should get you started. Please enjoy.
