Ben Cosgrove has been writing instrumental songs since before he started losing baby teeth, and it's generally agreed that the music develops further and further with the release of each new CD. His latest effort, Kaleidoscope offers proof of Ben's breakthrough into the realm of definitive musical maturity, offering 12 (actually, 13) brand-new tracks with influences varying from pop to new age to rock to jazz. Ben's music is also marked by the fact that he plays virtually every instrument on the album, an impressive feat considering the 20+ instruments that color songs like Treading Water or Undertow. In addition to serving as the album's sole architect and performer, Ben also helmed the record's production and art design. Kaleidoscope sold 300 copies in its first 3 weeks of availability, and is being hailed as Ben's best work yet.
