Frets on Fire is young band beyond their years. These musicians, ages 12, 13, and 14 when they cut this debut album of 9 original songs, have been playing together for nearly three years, gigging weekly at venues and festivals across Georgia. Showcased as the youngest band to perform at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2010, they have been developing a mature roots rock sound all their own, with generous helpings of funky blues, Stax soul, and folk harmonies. These boys are no novelty act; their songs bring stories that are at times heartbreaking and at times funny, and always feel real. Their emotional performances first and foremost serve the song, making something greater than the sum of the band's parts. Frets on Fire have been inspired by Atlanta-based musicians such as Sean Costello and have learned their craft in a thriving blues and R&B music scene in the Decatur, Georgia area. Their new CD,"What's Gone Tomorrow," was mixed by Grammy-nominated pro, Damien Lewis.
