Taylor S. Hoch Songwriter, Singer, Musician has been performing on the local scene for years, and she has just completed her first album, Out of the Blue. In a climate where venues are usually limited to bands that throw in a few originals among hours of cover songs, Taylor has made a name for herself doing just the opposite: forty to fifty original songs a night with a few cover songs thrown in here and there to keep people dancing and singing along. Taylor's music has been featured on the NPR radio show The Invisible City, hosted by Brad Posey, on WLRH 89.3FM in Huntsville, Alabama. She's been spotlighted in regional songwriters' showcases and has played in venues all over the southeast, as well as in Colorado and California. Her lyrics have been described as poetry that is direct and uncompromising, and at the same time, hauntingly familiar. Most common direct quote from her listeners is:"Did you write that song about my life?" Her music wraps around her lyrics, creating a perfect symmetry of sound that emphasizes the emotions and themes of her songs. Taylor's music has been inspired by the trials and hardships that she has overcome in her life such as being told that due to a crippling disease she would never walk or play the guitar again and by the many sensitive social issues faced by other Americans. As a result, her music has something for everyone.
